Passing the torch

I got a call from both daughters today. It's always great to hear from them. They have very different lives. The oldest daughter is very career driven and loves to plan and take vacations. She is in the midst of planning a Christmastime trip to celebrate her mates sons 21st birthday. They are planning a weekend in Las Vegas. Not my thing but I know a lot of people that enjoy gambling. She is getting ready to take her test to be a certified Property Appraiser. I couldn't be prouder of her, she's worked long and hard for this.

Our youngest daughter is a Stay at home Mom. She also homeschools our Grandkids. She was excited about doing everything homemade. She had just made Granola Bars and fresh bread. It reminded me of the years I spent as a Stay at home Mom. It is one of the hardest and sometimes thankless jobs there is. But it is so worth it, in my opinion. I am proud of the way she is working with the boys, she definitely goes the extra mile.

So, very different lives but each very important. I am blessed beyond words.
